Christmas Greetings!

Merry Christmas everyone from the Phillips Family!

We have had quite the eventful year and instead of sending out a family letter in our Christmas card we decided to take advantage of technology and write it here. We hope this works for everyone.

Here are our TOP TEN EVENTS OF 2008!!...

  • Number 10...Thanksgiving in Payson, UT. We all gathered at Grandpa & Grandma Phillips' house in Payson for Thanksgiving...ate lots of food, played games and took a family picture...Wahooo!

  • Number 9...Brittany is Working. Brittany decided to try for a job with the Elk Grove school district and was hired as a para-educator assistant (she works with an autistic girl) and now wants to be an Elementary School Teacher. She will start classes towards her teaching credential in January.

                            • Number 8...We Remodeled Again. We turned our downstairs bedroom into a computer/library/guest room with a Murphy Bed along one wall, but still need the bookcases and computer center along the other wall to complete the computer/library part of the room.

                            • Number 7...Only 2 Kids in Sports. Lindsay played recreational league soccer again this year with the same team she has been on for the last 5 years. Tori made the Varsity volleyball team as a 6' sophomore and had a great season. She is now playing on a club team and is almost 6'1".

                            • Number 6...Only 2 Kids at BYU. Only!? Chris and Shaunna are at BYU-Provo and loving it. Chris is in his Senior year and Shaunna is a Sophomore. Both are working on an exercise science major...Chris towards Optometry or Med School, and Shaunna towards Physical Therapy. Fun Fun!

                            • Number 5...Melissa is serving a mission in Omaha,Nebraska. Melissa left in September to serve for 18 months in the Nebraska Omaha Mission. When she got there her mission president assigned her to work in the Mormon Trail Center as a tour guide as well.

                            • Number 4...Brittany returned from her mission to the Philippines Bacolod Mission. Brittany had a wonderful time as a missionary in the Philippines and learned to love the people, so much so that she dyed her hair black before she came home.

                            • Number 3...Cruise with Keith & Tammy. Sherry and David had a blast on a cruise with Keith and Tammy. We both celebrated our 25th wedding anniversaries this year (wow we're old!). We went to Cabo, Mazatlan and Acapulco... shopped, rode buses and zip lined. (maybe we're still young!)

                            • Number 2...DISNEYLAND!!!
                            • We did another "family reunion" trip in January with the Phillips side of the family to Disneyland, and the San Diego Zoo, and Sea World, and Universal Studios. Mucho fun.

                            (love those silly pictures!)

                            • And Number 1...HAWAII. Just after Brittany returned home in April and Chris and Shaunna finished their semester at the Y we all flew over to Hawaii for a fantastic family vacation on the Big Island of Hawaii for a week and 3 days on Oahu. What a wonderful trip it was. (we can do normal pics too)

                            NO MORE TRAVELING IN 2009.........NOT!!!
