Well, 2009 is almost over and there have been some pretty amazing happenings. The last post mentioned that we were getting ready for Chris and Julie's wedding on May 16th. Well that happened and went pretty much according to plan except that it was over 100 degrees on the 16th down in Fresno and the reception was in Julie's uncle and aunt's backyard. The next Saturday it was at our home in the backyard and the weather turned cold and windy and everyone crammed inside our home...yikes! Chris Burley asked Shaunna to marry him three days after Chris and Julie's wedding and they were married in the Oakland Temple (the Sacramento Temple was closed for cleaning) on August 8th. We had a great reception in our backyard that evening and had perfect weather. They had a reception two weeks later up in Bellingham Washington where Chris B. is from. About a month later Shaun Mangelson asked Brittany to marry him and they set their date for January 16th, 2010. So we are in the midst of planning another reception. This one will be in the cultural hall at the church. I was called to be the bishop of Laguna Creek 5th Ward on October 18th. So new calling with lots more time commitment. Thanksgiving was fun with all the family here except Melissa who is still in the mission field in Nebraska. Christmas was great. Shaunna and her husband Chris were here for Thanksgiving along with all the other kids, but they were in Bellingham for Christmas...that is how their family has worked it out and we said okay. Julie and Chris came and announced that Sherry and I will be grandparents in August! Wahoo! Melissa called Christmas afternoon about 2 hours later than she said she would because they were snowed in. She will be coming home on January 8th, one week before Brittany's wedding. Life is busy but fun around here.
Happy New Year Everyone!

New Things!
Chris is getting married May 16th in the Fresno Temple to Julie Catton. David has had his position change with Seminaries and Institutes (CES)...he has been asked to be the area director for the US California North Area. Sherry is frantically planting flowers and things in her yard to be ready for an open house May 23rd for Julie and Chris. Brittany is the relief society president for the singles branch. Melissa lived through a tornado out in Nebraska. Shaunna finished her second year at BYU and is finished with physics. Tori is now almost 6'1", but more importantly is playing "Dori" in the ward road show. Wynne is on the tennis team at school. Zoe is 12 and loves going to Young Womens at church. Lindsay is hoping to swim all summer long.
That is the new stuff with us. Check out some of the latest pictures posted as well.
